Regional Chapters

Dallas Forth Worth Chapter

The Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) chapter meets the third Saturday of odd-numbered months. Our home-base is the birthplace of the League in the Historic Aviation Collection room of the Eugene McDermott Library at the University of Texas, Dallas: 800 W Campbell Rd, Dallas TX. We try to alternate meetings at UTD with other relevant nearby locations of interest such as the Cavanaugh Museum of Flight or the The Frontiers of Flight Museum.

We have an active group with turnouts ranging from 5-12 attendees thus far. For 2014 we look forward to a full schedule of informative presentations, fascinating activities and good-natured cameraderie as WWI aviation details, insights and mysteries are considered and discussed.

DFW League meetings are open to anyone interested in learning more about WWI aviation. Of course, we are always welcoming new members as well. Mid-Atlantic Chapter

This group meets regularly (quarterly except during the summer months) at the National Air and Space Museum’s facility at Dulles, The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Classrooms 2a and 2B (Hangar Floor level). There is no formal membership required to attend, so anyone interested in this aspect of aviation history is most welcome. There is no fee for attending, though there is a parking fee, so consider carpooling. Additional information can be obtained from Carl Bobrow, Charley Gosse, Chris Moore or Jon Barrett at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Due to the COVID-19 closures at NASM, physical meetings are paused. We expect they will not resume before the Smithsonian reaches Level 3 (all museums open).
